Coral Bay, Daintree Rainforest

Sprawling out in a paradise show of white sand beaches, pristine blue waters, and lush greenery, Coral Bay really is a spectacular sight to behold.

Coral Bay

Tucked next to the velvet canopy of the Daintree Rainforest, which is home to an abundance of native flora and fauna, Coral Bay offers a unique combination of forest backdrop and beautiful beach.

Set along the north east coast of Queensland, the Bay marks the edge of the Coral Sea, which is where the Great Barrier Reef is located. This incredible natural phenomenon is one of the best-loved wonders of the world, and can even be seen from outer space. On the beach, the tropical rainforest that characterises the area stretches right down to the edge of the sea, creating a unique blend of wilderness and paradise island views.

Nearby, the ancient site of Cape Tribulation adds another dimension to the scenery. It’s the only place on the planet where two UNESCO World Heritage sites sit side by side (the Tropics of Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef). Dating back millions of years, the rainforest is one of the oldest in the world, while the Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system on the globe.

At Coral Bay you can experience all of this and more, getting to know the unique landscape of ancient Australia and exposing yourself to some of the most breath-taking views in the country.

The Coral Sea is particularly beautiful, not least because it’s home to the Great Barrier Reef. It boasts a warm climate and harbours hundreds of quaint islands and reefs in its clutches. The land masses in this part of the ocean are particularly rich in wildlife, with numerous bird species and aquatic animals calling the region home.
