Spend your time relaxing or swimming in the glistening waters of Coral Bay.

Close to the crystal-clear waters of the Whitsundays region in Queensland is where you can find Coral Bay. This gorgeous bay is in Cannonvale along Coral Esplanade and is certainly worth visiting when you are looking for a tropical getaway.

You can grab some takeaway food from one of the nearby eateries and come back down to Coral Bay and watch the sunset. You could also do some water activities during the day and spot the tropical fish.

Still keen to come here? Check out the list of things you can do in Coral Bay and around the area.

Reef snorkelling

Snorkelling

Snorkelling is always a popular activity to do, and it is easy to learn as well. Snorkelling allows you to look beneath the crystal-clear water to see all the tropical marine life.

Diving

Diving is a great way to explore further into the water and really have a chance to swim with the tropical creatures who live in the water. You will need a diving certificate before you go out diving on your own.

Swimming

If you are not super keen on snorkelling or diving, you can just stick with swimming! The sparkling water is always a great way to cool down during the day as you are relaxing on the sand.

Whitsunday Islands

Since you are already planning to visit Coral Bay, make sure you spend some time visiting the Whitsundays. The Whitsundays have the most inviting water to swim in, along with the soft white beaches.

Here you can go hiking, explore the nearby rainforest, and of course walk along the beaches.

Whitsunday Islands

Markets

A short drive from Coral Bay is the Whitsunday Saturday Markets and Airlie Beach Market. Both markets are open on Saturday and are located right next to each other.

At the markets, you can expect fresh produce, crafts, souvenirs, tasty food and so much more! You can really find everything you want at these markets!

There are limited buses that run through the area, but getting to Coral Bay from another location could be tricky. We recommend hiring a car if possible, so you don’t have any hassles on your trip!
