The Daintree Rainforest is one of Australia’s natural gems, a 1,200 square kilometre wonderland of dense tropical rainforest and endless biodiversity.

Daintree River Cruise, Queensland

At around 180 million years old, the Daintree is part of the Wet Tropics of Queensland, the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest.

The forest is home to wildlife not seen elsewhere, including the cheeky (sometimes rowdy) Southern cassowary, the super cute Tiger quoll and the tiny musky rat-kangaroo, among thousands of others!

A trip to the Daintree is on any nature lover’s to-see list, so how much is a tour of the rainforest? Well, that all depends on what exactly it is you want to see and do in this mystical part of the world.
